Job Description

Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC, a Johnson and Johnson Company, is recruiting for a Community Liaison, Infectious Diseases located in the Northeast part of the country and will cover the following states: Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, and New Hampshire. The Community Liaison will be responsible for the following: Manage assigned geographical area and executes on an approved call plan to establish relationships and educate key influential community activists, allied health care professionals (AHCPs)/case managers/social workers within key AIDS Service Organizations (ASO), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and HIV clinics on Janssen products and disease awareness materialsProvide disease-awareness education to patients in an approved and compliant manner Key Responsibilities: CL must maintain an appropriate level of clinical knowledge regarding HIV and AIDS and the approved Janssen product portfolio listDeliver patient-focused materials to AHCPs in ASOs/CBO/HIV ClinicsCoordinate and facilitate educational programs to patients when appropriate and within HCC guidelinesAttend and participate in District meetings as appropriateMaintain appropriate routing and scheduling to create an effective call plan to obtain assigned account goalsMeet expected metrics and other team measurementsManagement of Community Speakers Bureau (CSB) programs in geographyCompliantly collaborate with Infectious Diseases Sales Representatives, District Managers, Market Development Managers and Medical Science Liaisons Qualifications BA/BS required, MA/MBA preferredA minimum of 4 years in marketing or community experience with broader healthcare business knowledge or related experience is requiredHealthcare industry expertise and an understanding of key stakeholders in the healthcare environment in this geography is also strongly preferredExperience in HIV market is requiredExperience working with ASOs/CBOs and other advocacy groups preferred Strong ability to build long-term internal and external customer loyalty and relationshipsExcellent cross-company collaboration skillsExperience and sensitivity to working with gender, ethnic/culturally diverse groupsDemonstrated ability to think strategically and customize customer plans with a solution oriented-approachStrong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)The ability to clearly and appropriately convey and present clinical information in an effective and impactful manner through a variety of approachesThis position requires up to 60% travelA valid drivers license is required Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.     BA/BS required, MA/MBA preferred

  • A minimum of 4 years in marketing or community experience with broader healthcare business knowledge or related experience is required
  • Healthcare industry expertise and an understanding of key stakeholders in the healthcare environment in this geography is also strongly preferred
  • Experience in HIV market is required
  • Experience working with ASOs/CBOs and other advocacy groups preferred
  • Strong ability to build long-term internal and external customer loyalty and relationships
  • Excellent cross-company collaboration skills
  • Experience and sensitivity to working with gender, ethnic/culturally diverse groups
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and customize customer plans with a solution oriented-approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • This position requires up to 60% travel
